The American actor Fred Willard has died

The American actor, comedian, and writer Fred Willard (Frederick Charles Willard) has died 86 old from natural causes. He had memorable roles in both film and television.

The comic actor was famous for his roles in Christopher Guest's mockumentaries. Films like A Mighty Wind, Best In Show, and For Your Consideration, shows like Modern Family, roles in This Is Spinal Tap or Waiting for Guffman  will always remember him for people. He also lended his voice to things like Scooby-Doo, G.I. Joe: Renegades, Transformers, WALL-E, Kim Possible and more. Most recently he appeared as Fred Naird in Netflix's Space Force. Willard hosted the talk show What's Hot, What's Not, which aired from 1985 to 1986 and earned him a daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Host. For his performance in Waiting for Guffman he received an American Comedy Award nomination and a Screen Actors Guild nomination for Funniest Supporting Actor.


He won a Daytime Emmy in 2015 for his role as John Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. „He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end.We loved him so very much!” his daughter wrote.Hollywood figures have taken to social media to pay tribute to the actor.
