The actor Kristofer Hivju, who played the role of Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones, announced he tested positive for the coronavirus in an Instagram post Monday.
He lives in Norway and now is isolated with his family. "Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My family and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health - I only have mild symptoms of a cold,” Hivju wrote. He also expressed hope that people will respect guidances to protect from the pandemy. “Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy!” Hivju said. Hivju is the latest figure in Hollywood to test positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The diagnosis comes soon after the actor was cast in season two of Netflix's The Witcher.
