TV actress Jessica Falkholt and her sister Annabel in hospital in serious condition

Sydney Television actress Jessica Falkholt and her sister Annabelle are fighting for their lives after a crash that tragically killed three people including their parents. The family had been returning home when they collided head-on with a 50-year-old male driver while coming off the Princes Highway near Sussex Inlet.

Lars Falkholt, 69, and wife Vivian, 60, died when their car collided on the New South Wales south coast on Boxing Day. Their identity was later confirmed through dental records as the remains were burnt in the explosion. Their daughters were airlifted to St George and Liverpool hospitals in a critical condition. Annabelle, 21, is still in a critical condition in Liverpool hospital while sister Jessica, 28, is at St George Hospital. The male driver from the other car was killed upon impact.

Jessica Falkholt is an actor with a series of prominent roles to her name. She graduated from Sydney's prominent drama school, the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, in 2015. She is credited with roles on Underbelly: Badness, a number of prominent stage plays and most recently Home and Away. She worked in the production department for Channel 7 and Carnival Films featuring in many television commercials and appearing in guest roles for Australian television dramas. Annabelle is a digital marketing assistant at Mesh Direct, an advertising and event-branding company.
