A private jet twin-engine Gulfstream G-4 carrying actress Jennifer Aniston to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was forced to make an emergency landing this weekend at the Ontario International Airport, California.
The flight departed Los Angeles International Airport around 11 a.m., and, during takeoff, lost a wheel or a tire. Before landing, the pilot had to circle for hours burning off fuel until it was considered safe to land. Ontario police and fire units were standing by to assist the aircraft as it landed. The plane landed without incident.
It was carrying a total of 10 passengers including Courteney Cox and otherAniston’s friends and two crew members, according to Ontario airport officials. Everyone on board were in good spirits. The trip to Mexico was intended to celebrate Aniston's 50th birthday. After landing at Ontario Airport the actress and her friends departed their faulty plane and walked across the runway to another waiting private jet which made take-off five minutes later. Aniston first worked in Off-Broadway productions such as For Dear Life and Dancing on Checker's Grave.Later, she had a continuous film success. On April 14, 2007, Aniston received GLAAD's Vanguard Award for her contributions to increased visibility and understanding of the LGBT community. She donated money for numerous charities. "We live an extremely beautiful, fortunate life being able to do what we get to do for a living. And so it's a way of being able to be in a position to do something for people who are less able. It's something that makes my heart smile," she declared in an interview.
