Selena Gomez has entered a mental health facility on the East Coast after being hospitalized twice in two weeks in Los Angeles, linked to an "emotional breakdown."
Selena, 26-year-old now, was "despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant." Sources say Selena was at her Studio City, CA home the last week of September when the first emergency hit. She is receiving DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), a treatment used for various mental health conditions. It’s supposed she has dealt with depression for a while. There have been multiple signs of trouble. Selena has received DBT in the past.

On Sept. 23, she announced she would be taking another social media break to “step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given.” Before leaving social media, Selena did an Instagram Live answering questions from fans and said depression had consumed her life for 5 years. The news of Selena’s hospitalization comes just months after her childhood best friend Demi Lovato tragically overdosed. Gomez was not nominated for any awards this year at the American Music Awards.
