Phil Mickelson loves his daughter Amanda and will skip for her the U.S. Open golf competition

Phil Mickelson will not be present at the U.S. Open golf competition on June 15. He will be instead with his daughter Amanda at her high school graduation. Phil had informed Mike Davis, the United States Golf Association’s executive director, on Saturday, about his decision. However, if something in program will change to decalate one of the events, he will like to be present the day of the Open’s first round at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, in Scotland, decided to admit female members

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, in Scotland,  is a 260-year-old institution that calls itself the spiritual home of golf. It was also one of the governing authorities of the game, but in 2004 this role was handed over to a newly formed group of companies, collectively known as The R&A. For so much time they had the male-only membership rule.

TPC Sawgrass' famous 17th golf hole has been deluged. The whole stadium course is under water. If you want to play it you're unfortunatelly too late.
