The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye ), 27, rented out a cinema in his native Toronto a few days ago to have enough privacy with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, 24. He asked an assistant to book all the tickets for a 9:45 p.m. screening of comedian-turned-filmmaker Jordan Peele’s horror film Get Out.
Renting out the theater costs $1,500. (Do you know Selena recently shelled out $30,000 on a birthday party for her boyfriend in Hollywood in February ?) The couple snacked on popcorn, chocolate bars and sipped on gin and tonic cocktails during the movie. “She was super cute with him... arms around his neck,” an eyewitness told. Weeknd reunited with Gomez in his hometown after wrapping up the European leg of his Starboy: Renting an entire theater for a dating is not very usual .But to remember, Gomez had another empty theatre at her disposition rented in 2011 by ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber at the SilverCity Polo Park in Winnipeg for a private showing of the Hugh Jackman film Real Steel. Gomez and The Weeknd first went public with their romance in January, when they were spotted kissing after a dinner date in Beverly Hills. Now, she is acting different from usual, showing publicly the strong affection for his boyfriend.
